Born in Philadelphia, grew up in Havertown, lived in NJ, MA, and

now in Tucson.

I took Saturday morning classes at the Philadelphia Art Museum as a youngster, experimenting in many different mediums. A "Watercolor Lessons" sign caught my eye one day, and I started learning about all aspects of the art. It has become my favorite medium, and becomes more versatile and forgiving the more I learn.

My first major watercolor accomplishment was earning an Honorable Mention from the Watertown (Ma.) Watercolor Society for a plein air painting.  Then I got a job and went to work for 30 years.
